Heart Speed (18+)

Here's a new original work from me. I haven't done a short one for a long time and I found this unfinished story hidden in my phone drafts from a year ago. I decided to finish it and I think it turned out really good and HAWT!

Story: The young Hal Sommers is a world renowned engineer and car mechanic. He loves his line of work and works for a racer - Sam Bedingfield - as his personal engineer and mechanic. His engineering skills and quick problem solving abilities are known around the workshops and many wants him into their team. But Hal refuses to leave his employer's side even if he has to endure Sam's loving harassments.

One day Hal gets a visit from Sam's biggest rival who asks him to come and work for him with a promise to fulfill Hal's childhood dream, and when Sam finds out about this visit he distances himself from Hal even though the world championship is just around the corner. Hal realizes he misses Sam's childish harassments and that there's something more going on than just an employer/employee relationship. Who wins what and at what cost?

Special thanks to an anonymous Swedish racer who helped me with all the details!

Inspiration: Redline (anime) and my time as a motorman.

Music used as mood-setter:

He stood there and pulled on the screw with the wrench. It was stuck hard and Hal had to use a hammer to make it loose enough to open. The engine was hot and it smelled of oil and burned gas. The engine had been over-heated during the test drive Sam had made and Hal had to figure out why. He was thinking about the thermostat being broken and was screwing it lose to check its condition. Nothing seemed to be wrong with it and he put it back again to its place. Then he took out an oily rag from his working overall and put up his shoulder-length blond hair with it. Then he sighed and stared at the engine with his hands resting on his hips while he thought hard.

He checked the tank for the radiator and saw that there was too little water inside. So the cooling system was leaking, but where? He had changed gaskets last week and that was the reason why he hadn’t checked the cooling system first.

He pulled out a flashlight and examined the engine quickly but decided to start the engine to get the pressure up so the leaking would be revealed as the cooling water would gush out from the leaking spot. As he stared at the growling engine with his green eyes he suddenly saw that there was water dripping out from underneath the engine. He sighed heavily again and pulled out the flashlight again. He knelt next to the red race car and tried to look under the engine but he couldn't see the actual leak but only the dripping water.

He decided to stop the engine and give up for the day. It was right past midnight and he was tired after the day's hard work.

Hal Sommers was 23 years old and worked as the famous racer Sam Bedingfield's personal engine mechanic and engineer. He was one of the best and people knew it. He was a hard worker and loved his line of work, but the one who hired him was an idiot who Hal had a hard time dealing with. Sam was his employer and was one of the world’s renowned racers, and together with Hal’s engineering he had launched like a rocket in the world of racing.  Sam didn't belong to anyone. He had hired his own team and rented a workshop, making him the owner. Then he had bought in all the pieces to build his custom made race car after Hal and the team had made a blueprint of the car.

He did all this with the millions which he had gotten from his parents and hired suitable people to back him up during the tours, but since his success he had gotten independent and had started to pay back the money he had borrowed. He was a rich man's son and acted that way too even if he was 25 years old. But when it came to Sam's arrogant acting as a spoiled brat Hal was the only one who dared to talk back at him and that simply because he didn't stand the guy. The others were quiet about their thoughts about Sam because they respected Sam's father who was a politician. Or rather, they didn't dare to utter a word.

Hal could change employer and get rid of the spoiled brat who pestered him if he wanted to. Anyone would hire him without a doubt. But the payment as Sam's mechanic was way better that the other employers’ and Hal had a freedom the others didn't offer. Sam trusted him completely when it came to the maintenance of the car and Hal loved the freedom he had.

As soon as he shut the car's hood someone grabbed him by the waist and pushed him down on top of the hood. The metal against his cheek was warm from the engine and he sighed as he felt someone kiss him on the neck.

"Stop that, idiot!" he muttered and tried to get up but Sam pushed him back.

"Wouldn't it be hot to fuck just like this?" Sam asked and nibbled on Hal's earlobe. He pushed his groin against Hal's rear and licked the nape of his neck.

Hal felt irritated and angry. How many times would this guy harass him like this? He would be a millionaire by now if he would have sued Sam for every harassment he had been through. And no matter what he did or said Sam still pestered him with his random harassments.

"Do you want me to hit you in the head with a wrench?" Hal asked irritated and Sam laughed.

"You can try. But who's being helplessly pushed down by whom?" he whispered in the man's ear.

"What? So now you're telling me you'll fuck me no matter what I say? Isn't that called rape?" Hal asked, but Sam made a complaining noise.

"That's so cold. I'm making love with you, not raping you. And don't put your hair up with dirty old rags like that. Your hair is beautiful." Sam combed through Hal's blonde ponytail with his fingers.

"Tsk!" Hal hit Sam between the ribs with his elbow and the other man lost his breath and moaned. Then he stood up and turned around to look at Sam. "For god's sake, Sam! Be professional with me! You're my employer and should not be harassing me like this."

"But I love you. Is it so bad?"

"I can't believe you! Asshole..."

Sam gave Hal a small apologetic smile and Hal glared back.

"So what's wrong with her?" Sam asked and nodded at the race-car.

His voice had changed to that of an employer, and Hal opened the hood again to show him the leaking water.

"That's what's wrong with it. I was first thinking that the thermometer was broken. It is old after all. But there wasn't any fault on it as I checked, and when I checked the water level it was half empty. So there's a leak, but I can't find where it is. It's somewhere under the car. It's probably a gasket that's broken. The ones we got last week were not of the best quality. I have to go to the store on the south side of town to buy some original gaskets and replace all of them."

"I see. How long will it take to fix?" Sam asked as he checked the engine.

"Probably a few hours a
t most. It'll be finished before the next race."

"That's good. I got a little worried. You know I don't know anything about engines or things like that. I trust you completely."

Hal smiled happily.

"Thank you, Mr
. Bedingfield."

Sam frowned.

"Don't be so unfriendly. We're buddies, aren't we?"

"You think so?" Hal asked with a cat-like smile on his lips.
“I only see you as my employer.”

"That's cold!" Sam complained and followed Hal out from the garage.

The next day Hal woke up and headed to the workshop. He began immediately to search for the leak and after about thirty minutes he found it. It was the gasket next to a coolant pump that was leaking and he started to disassemble the area with the bad gaskets. When he was finished he took the car to the nearest store one hour away to buy new original gaskets, and then got back and started to assemble everything again with the stereo at a high volume.

As he was working he heard footsteps that sounded like they were made by someone heavy and then someone cleared his throat.

“Wait just a minute,” Hal said and finished one screw and then looked up at the visitor from behind the hood. A man who was dressed in a white suit with a red shirt underneath was standing there together with a young man and they both had an air of greed around them. The older man looked like a pimp but didn’t probably realize that as he puffed on his cigar. Hal lowered the volume on the stereo and looked at the visitors: “I’m sorry, sir, but it’s prohibited to smoke in here due to the flammable materials.”

“Oh, I’m sorry,” the man said with an unpleasant smile and put out the cigar and threw it in a metal can nearby. “Are you Hal Sommers?” the man then asked and Hal nodded.

What can this pimp possibly want with me?

“What can I help you with?” he asked and looked at the young man next to the “pimp”. He knew he recognized him from somewhere and as the older man was about to open his mouth he remembered. “Oh, you’re Richard Reed, aren’t you?” The second he said that he understood why the two of them were there.

Richard Reed was a racer the same age as Sam and one of Sam’s competitors. Sam had a fondness of hating him and even though Reed was a very good racer Sam refused to befriend him. Hal had noticed the same attitude from Reed. He and Sam seemed to have some kind of competition going on of who won most races. At the moment Sam was behind with one victory and that gnawed at him. Hal thought it was all silly. It was just a race and shouldn’t make people enemies like these two.

“Yes, I’m Richard Reed. I see you remember me,” the young man with chestnut colored hair said with a smile on his lips, and Hal sighed.

“You and Sam are acting like you’re each other’s archenemies. How can I forget?” Hal said and brushed his dirty fingers through his long and blond hair, making it darker thanks to the soot from the engine. It was clear Hal was used to working with engines. It was almost like he had befriended the dirt.

“I’m Mark Thompson who owns Mr. Reed’s car and the team behind it. You surely remember me from the phone calls, right? We’re here for a business proposition,” the older man said.

I knew it was him!, Hal thought and remembered the pestering phone calls from a man called Thompson who wanted to hire Hal for his team.

“I’m sorry, Mr. Thompson, but as I said on the phone I’m not interested.” Hal’s answer was blunt.

“No, please. Listen to what I have to offer, Mr. Sommers. Because of your outstanding engineering I think it’s a shame that you haven’t got your own workshop with proper tools. I’m offering you a fully equipped workshop. You’re allowed to work outside the team and use the workshop as your own business between the races.”

Thompson’s offer was tempting. Hal had always wanted an own workshop ever since he was a child and had helped his father with fixing their old car in their garage. He had promised his father to get a workshop of his own and do free reparations on their car, but before he had had time to grow up his father passed away by a heart attack. The promise still lingered in his mind and he had decided to make it someday. The payment from Hal was good and Hal slept at the workshop instead of renting an own apartment to be able to save up enough money to buy an own workshop, all the tools and equipment, and all the preparations to start up the business.

But…

“Your offer is really tempting but I have to say no thank you. I’m getting by well enough by staying with Mr. Bedingfield,” he said and Thompson and Reed looked at him like they couldn’t believe their ears.

“But the rumors say you sleep on a couch here at the workshop. Don’t you want to be able to have an own apartment?” Thompson asked dumbfounded. He had believed his offer was too tempting to turn down.

Hal smiled.

“That’s true, but it is something I have chosen to do. I don’t want to owe anyone anything and I would like to earn myself my own apartment and fully equipped workshop by working hard.”

That was it. Even if Thompson and Reed both tried to persuade Hal into accepting the offer Hal eventually got tired of hearing them beg for him to work with them and had to force them out from the workshop. When he closed the door he realized they had been talking for almost an hour and he sighed:

“Seems like I need to work overtime again.”

To change the broken gasket and replace the others took longer than he had expected and when the clock was after five in the afternoon someone turned off the stereo and he looked up at Sam standing there looking at him with an apologetic smile.

“Do you have to work overtime again?” he asked and Hal turned to the car again and pulled a screw on a pipe joint tight.

“It seems so. It took more time than I thought to replace all the gaskets.” Hal didn’t want to worry Sam by telling him about Thompson’s and Reed’s visit.

“I see. But I can’t have you working overtime all the time. You’ll exhaust yourself.” Sam’s voice was worried.

Hal pulled the next screw tight and dried some sweat from his forehead.

“I’m okay. I want to finish this so that I can concentrate on the rest of the engine the following days before the race. You’re meeting Reed, aren’t you? I want the car to be in top shape for your…” He made a pause to tighten the third screw on the pipe joint. “… little power struggle with that Reed.”

Sam took a hold around his waist and hugged him tight and kissed him on his neck and smiled a childish smile like he was a kid on Christmas Eve.

“I love it how you worry about me winning against that useless Reed.”

Hal stood up straight and felt irritated because of Sam’s advances.

“Reed is as good as you and you know that. He’s not useless. Right now he’s one win ahead of you,” he said and tried to push Sam away but Sam was stuck to him like a kitten clawed stuck on wallpaper.

Sam muttered: “I know. You don’t have to remind me about that.” But then his sour face brightened and he said with a smile: “But with you on my side I’ll win over him for sure! First I’ll take him down at the local race next week, then I’ll take him down at the global race.”

“I’m not on your side or his when it comes to this little feud you have between you two. I’m in for the reputation as an engineer and mechanics. Now would you please let me go?” Hal said irritated and tried bending Sam’s arms open.

“No!” Sam said bluntly.

“Sam, let me go.”

“No! No! No!”

“What are you, a five year old kid or something?”

Without forewarning Sam’s hand took a hold of Hal’s crotch and squeezed it lightly and pushed his groin against Hal’s rear so that Hal could feel the man’s manhood against his buttocks. Then he leaned closer Hal’s ear to say quietly with his low voice:

“You tell me. Am I?”

Hal could hear from Sam’s voice that the man was smiling as he said it and it made him even more irritated. He felt how his face got hot and his nerves tingled pleasantly around his crotch area. Even though he didn’t want Sam to harass him like that it still felt good when the man touched him. It was a weird feeling. He had never been interested in guys before and he wasn’t interested now either. No man had touched him like Sam did and it confused him when it felt this good.

He closed his eyes and could feel Sam get harder as the man moved his groin slowly against Hal’s rear, and Sam’s hands began slowly and seductively massaging Hal’s abdomen and slowly climb upwards. It felt pleasant and Hal lost himself in the feeling. Sam’s tongue tickled against his neck and then nibbled on his left earlobe.

“Mm…” Hal’s voice slipped out without him noticing it until it was too late. Sam chuckled and whispered into his ear:

“You’re pretty obedient today, Hal.”

That instant Hal opened his eyes and realized what was happening and the thought of Sam getting his hands under Hal’s t-shirt made him angry at the man, but he was mostly angry at himself for letting it go so far.

“Let go of me you asshole!” Hal yelled and knocked Sam in the face with the back of his fist.

“Ow! Hal, you’re so cold!” Sam cried as he held his bleeding nose.

Eight days later it was time for the local race and Sam was sitting in the red car with his gear on. Hal was doing a last check of the engine before giving Sam the go-ahead to get out on the track, but before Sam drove out of the little paddock they had for their team and car he pulled up the visor of the helmet and gave Hal a wink.

“I bet this baby will win this race this time,” he said and Hal smiled.

“I really hope it does. My reputation is on the line here,” he said and gave Sam a playful wink back as a joke.

“Aw I wish that wink was really meant for me,” Sam pouted childishly and Hal felt his cheeks get hot and he held up a fist and said poisonously:

“This one is meant for you if you don’t get out of here to the race track right this minute.”

Sam swallowed hard and pulled down the visor before he said: “Okay okay!” and hurried away. Hal and the rest of the team, dressed in their safety gear, hurried out to the pit stop next to the track. The pit stop is a lane next to the track where the cars stop during the race to get its tyres changed and where the team do other maintenance as refueling, adjustments and other necessary things to keep the car on the track. Hal and the rest of the team were professionals and was one of the fastest on the pit stop.

The race began and Hal and the rest of the team cheered on Sam as he slowly plunged through the other cars with the first place as his goal. Sam knew how to work the track and handle all the curves.

“Okay, hail him in,” Hal said to the team and one of them ran up to the entrance of the pit lane to signal for Sam to get into the pit stop. The pit stop strategy had been carefully planned and now it was the time for the first stop.

“Change the tyres! Fuel it up! Get the water!” Hal commanded as he hurried up to the front of the car and opened the hood. “Give it some gas, Sam!” he yelled and Sam did as he was told. Hal listened to the sounds and checked the systems and then closed the hood with a bam. The tyre changers were almost finished and Hal checked his watch. “Five seconds…” He had calculated that it would take about ten to twelve seconds to change all four tyres and refuel the car. When it was two seconds left Hal gave Sam the okay and Sam gave it some gas and got out of the pit stop just in time for Hal’s calculation of time.

At the end of the race it was Sam and Richard Reed at the top. They pressed their engines to get full power and both Hal and the team at the pit stop held their breaths as the two got closer to the finish line.

“Come on! Press it a little more, Sam,” Hal mumbled as he held his eyes on Sam’s car.

Just a little more and he would get through the finish line as number one. Just a little more and Sam would get even with Reed. Hal had to admit that he was on Sam’s side even though he thought the competition between Sam and Reed was ridiculous. But he was also cheering on because he wanted to show the world his engineering skills with the car. The winning car always brought attention to it and the engineer behind it, and Hal wanted to keep his name at the top as an engineer. If the car would break or stop working in the middle of a race it would be his fault and wouldn’t look good to the world of racing.

The finish line was closing in on Sam and Reed. Both of them seemed to be very determined to win this race and Hal felt how the atmosphere got tense around the track. It was such an even race that no one knew how it would end.

“Come on. Come on. Come on!” Hal closed his hands to a fist and bit his lip.

Sam managed to press forth a little in a curve but Reed was quick to catch up. The last curve on the track was called Hell Curve and would mean that both had to slow down to be able to get through the curve to remain on the track. The curve was a very tight one. The one who was fastest with the gear and had the best technique would gain a little lead over the other. This was it.

As they reached the Hell Curve Reed got through it with incredible skill, but Sam did a dangerous stunt and pulled the handbrake at the same time as he was slowing down. He didn’t slow down as much as he normally would need in a normal turn and the car slid across the road. He did a handbrake turn.

“What the hell are you doing?!” Hal yelled and pulled his hair as he watched the red car slide to its side, threatening to flip over. “No, no, no!”

But to his surprise the car kept itself on the track with incredible precision and kept more speed than Reed’s car and Sam was quick to get next to Reed and then finally press the engine to the fullest and get the lead. The tension was incredible and even the commentators was quiet until Sam managed to cross the finish line just a millisecond before Reed.

The first seconds there was confusion in the audience about who won, but then the commentators yelled out Sam’s name and car number in the speakers, and suddenly the whole audience around the track started to cheer loudly.

Hal got a smile on his lips and he hurried from the pit stop to the finish line where Sam had stopped the car. He hurried up to Sam who got out of the seat and took his helmet off and as Hal got up to him he suddenly gave Sam a slap over his cheek.

“How dare you do that stunt? A handbrake turn in a tight curve like the Hell Curve?! Are you suicidal?!” he yelled.

“Ow! Here I thought you would run up to me and give me a victory kiss,” Sam pouted and held his cheek.

Doing a handbrake turn in such speed was dangerous. The car would most likely flip over and continue rolling over the field if a handbrake turn was made in such high speed. Only really talented drivers knew how to handle that and Hal hadn’t seen Sam practice that kind of turn at all.

“Idiot! Don’t make me worry like that. I almost got a heart attack! What if you wrecked the car?!” Hal continued to yell.

“You’re only worried about the car?!”

“What else is there to worry about? This airhead standing in front of me?!”

Suddenly Sam gave Hal a childish smile which made Hal’s heart melt. No, Hal wasn’t just worried about the car. Even though he had put down so many hours and such hard work on it the one he really worried about was Sam. You could always buy a new car and redo the work, but to replace Sam was impossible.

“But I won thanks to that! I showed that Reed what we’re made of!” Sam said and pulled Hal into a friendly hug as the photographers and reporters got to the scene and started photographing and asking questions.

At first Hal was a bit unsure of how to react to everything but then he got a smile on his lips and gave Sam a pat on his back.

“Well done,” he said and Sam looked at him with surprise. It was unusual for Hal to praise him.

The following days Hal gave the car some maintenance. There was always something that was acting strangely after a race like that. The engine and surrounding systems were used so brutally which made them unstable in different ways, and the perishable parts needed to get changed, like the breaks and tyres for example. To clean the car was the first step because it made it easier to check it for damage, and after that check the shocks, kingpins, bearings, screws and more. There were many things Hal had to do after each race and it would take days to make the car fully usable in a race.

The next race was the world championship and Sam was one of the racers who were signed up for that. Reed was in the race too and this would make the race really serious for Sam. Who ever won was the champion of the season and he refused to lose against Reed. Hal and the team worked hard on the car. It got clear after some checking that one of the pistons and sleeves needed to be replaced and so they had to open up the top of the engine and spend many hours on that.

When it was time to get to the site of the track where the championship was being held they took their tour bus and truck to get to the site. It took three days of driving to get there and when they arrived they were shown to their paddock and they unloaded the car and tools from the truck to set everything up. Hal and the team checked the car from top to bottom again to make sure it was fully functional, and the evening before the race Hal was cleaning the car together with Sam. Sam liked to help out when he was nervous before a race and Hal let him use a rag and polish the car. That was the only thing he dared to let Sam do with the car except racing with it. There was a knock on the door and they both looked up at a fat man with a white suit smoking on his cigar. Hal swallowed hard.

“I see you’re still preparing for tomorrow,” Thompson said and put out the cigar. “Have you thought about the offer I gave you, Mr. Sommers?” he then asked with his not so charming smile.

No!, Hal thought and sighed. Now Sam would know about Thompson and Reed visiting him.

“It’s still a no,” he answered with emphasis on the word “no”.

“Offer? What offer?” Sam asked and Hal was about to tell him that they would talk about it later but Thompson interrupted and said:

“I was offering Hal a deal to start working with me.”

“Work with you?” Sam asked and looked from Hal to Thompson. “But he’s the one who owns Reed’s car and team, Hal!” he said and looked at Hal with a confused expression on his face.

“I know, Sam. Let’s talk about this later,” Hal tried to calm Sam down. Sam was clearly working himself up over this matter.

“I’m sad to hear that you still say no, but what if I give you the workshop and tools with the only requirement that you do the maintenance of Mr. Reed’s car? Then what you do with the workshop is up to you. You can sell it or even burn it down as long as you’re honoring the deal,” Thompson said, and Hal was left speechless.

To own his own fully equipped workshop had been a dream of his for so long and now the man was offering him a workshop almost for free! He didn’t know what to answer and just stared at the man who got an even broader smile on his lips as he saw Hal’s reaction.

“Hal?” Sam asked and looked worried at Hal for a moment. “Don’t tell me you’re about to sell yourself out for a deal like that!”

“But Sam…”

“No buts! You’re staying with me!” Sam yelled and backed away from Hal. “I will never forgive you if you take his deal. You know the workshop you have with me is yours too! Why do you even think about wanting his filthy workshop?!”

Sam was acting very childish like usual. Hal sighed and looked at him with an apologetic smile.

“I’m sorry, Sam, but you have to understand that I…” Hal wasn’t given the time to finish his sentence before Sam yelled:

“Then what are you waiting for?! Go along with him and get your workshop!” Then he stormed off.

That’s not what I was going to say, Hal thought and sighed and looked at Thompson.

“I have no idea if you came here to make trouble or to genuinely ask me for my engineering expertise but the answer is still no whatever you may offer me,” he said and Thompson’s expression turned darker.

“As you wish. I’m sorry for troubling you,” the man said and left the paddock.

Hal tried to look for Sam but he was nowhere to be found. Not even the team knew where he had gone and Hal was worried about tomorrow and Sam misunderstanding him. With a troubled mind he went to sleep.

The next morning was the day for the race and Sam came into the paddock fully dressed in his racer gear. He had his helmet under his arm and asked another mechanic about the status of the car. Normally he asked Hal. He always hovered around Hal during the days for the race but this time he was ignoring him. Without wanting to make the situation worse Hal kept his mouth shut and decided to talk to Sam after the race.

Sam got the go-ahead to take the car out of the paddock and he disappeared to the starting line and do the pace lap where the drivers warmed up the tyres and engines and also tested out the track before the race. Hal and his team moved to their stations at the pit stop and checked that everything was on its place and ready for the race.

Then the race began. At every pit stop Sam ignored Hal if he could and only talked to him if he needed to. Hal tightened some screws that had gotten a bit lose while the other’s fueled up the car, and then he gave Sam the go-ahead and Sam speeded out on the track again without even throwing a glance at him.

Hal felt heavyhearted and sighed as he watched the race. Sam was doing a good job and he and Reed got closer the top for each second that passed. But Sam’s driving was a bit aggressive and Hal knew he was the reason why. The commentators were shouting out what happened on the track but Hal didn’t hear them. He just followed Sam’s car with his gaze as it speeded away on the track.

The drivers pushed their skills and cars, driven by the honor and fame for winning the championship, and everyone had very high skilled driving abilities. But no one had the skills Sam and Reed had, and the two slowly distanced themselves from the others, getting an incredible lead.

Oh this is so exciting! Reed and Bedingfield are building up some distance to the other racers and it looks like one of these two will take the title!” one of the commentators yelled out in excitement.

Suddenly it started to rain. Hal quickly ordered to get Sam hailed in to change the tyres into the ones made for slippery tracks. Twelve seconds later Sam speeded off again, still ignoring him. Hal started to get irritated at Sam’s childish behavior on an important day as this and at first he thought about actually accepting Thompson’s offer. But the more he thought about it he realized he didn’t want to leave Sam. His heart ached for Sam ignoring him.

I can’t keep up with this!, he thought and watched for Sam’s car with a longing expression.

Suddenly Sam had to make an emergency stop at the pit stop. The engine was overheated again.

“What?!” Hal exclaimed and ran up to the car and opened the hood.

“Hurry up and fix it!” Sam yelled through the roaring from the cars around them.

Hal saw that there was a leak in one of the hoses to the cooling water. The leak was in a position where it was impossible to cut the hose a bit and reconnect it to the splice. “Cooling water! Hurry!” he yelled to his teammates and then he took some of the duct tape hanging on his belt and started to wrap it tightly around the leaking hose. There was no time to change the hose. If Sam wanted to win Hal had to make an emergency repair. As the cooling water came Hal ordered them to fill up the cooling water as he fixed the duct tape and made sure the hose was completely proof.

“Be careful!” Hal yelled as he slammed the hood down and hurried out of the way. Sam still ignored him and that made him frustrated enough to yell “I love you, idiot! I would never leave you!” as Sam got the go-ahead and speeded out on the track. The moment he yelled that Sam made a weird move with the car. It looked like Sam lost control of the car for a second, but then he continued out on the track like nothing.

Sam was behind Reed but luckily Reed had to stop at the pit stop to change tyres. It was a bad strategy his pit stop team had come up with. They made the last tyre change too late in the race which gave Sam the time to catch up, and Reed got out of the pit stop just in time to get right behind Sam.

Sam pushed the gas to get some distance between him and Reed. Hal was worried about the cooling to the engine when Sam pushed the car that hard. As the finishing line was approaching smoke suddenly began emerging from underneath the hood of Sam’s car.

“Oh no!” Hal didn’t know what to do except start running towards the finish line. The engine was close to blowing up. He knew Sam wouldn’t stop now even if the car was in this bad shape. Hal didn’t understand why the hose broke. It was brand new.

Put on the heating!, he thought. The heating would release the engine from some heat and delay an engine blow-up.

Bedingfield is having some engine problems but he still keeps on going! Looks like he won’t leave the title to Reed without a fight!” the commentator yelled out in surprise.

Shut up! Can’t you see he’s in danger!, Hal thought as he ran through the rain. If the cooling system couldn’t keep up the engine would blow up and the car would shut down. This wasn’t an explosion but a bang when the engine cracked and afterwards would create a huge pile of smoke. Even if the danger didn’t lie in the engine blowing up there was the danger from the aftereffects of the heavy smoke. The smoke would blind the cars behind and it would create crash risks. With that many cars behind Sam and Reed there was no telling what could happen.

The safety crew, firefighters and paramedics were getting themselves ready and just a few seconds before hitting the finish line Sam’s car made a huge bang and heavy smoke appeared from under the hood. The engine had blown up. Sam seemed to quickly pull to the side but he disappeared in the smoke. Then suddenly a crash was heard when the other cars got into the smoke. Hal panicked.

 “God no..!”

As he came up to the scene he saw that Sam’s car had crashed into a wall and its rear being crushed, and Reeds car was standing on the side of the track with pieces lying everywhere on the ground. The safety crew and firefighters were pulling out Reed from the car but miraculously Sam got out from the car a bit wobbly but in good shape. Later it turned out Reed wasn’t injured either.

“Sam!” Hal yelled as he hurried up to Sam who took his helmet off. “Why did you continue racing?! You should have pulled over!”

Sam smiled a warm smile. That gave Hal a feeling of butterflies in his chest.

“And give up the title? No way!” he said and looked at Reed who was taken care of by a paramedic.

“That’s very irresponsible of you! You could have created a disaster on the track!” Hal scolded, but Sam chuckled and pulled him close to a kiss.

Hal felt shocked. He stared at Sam with widened eyes and felt how his lips burned with heat from the other man’s touch. His mind went numb and the heat from the kiss spread throughout his body like a wildfire. What was happening? Why didn’t he stop it? Why was he feeling a pleasant feeling? How should he react?

When Sam released Hal’s lips the man smiled brightly and said:

“I did it not only to win though. I did it for you too. You have no idea how much it means to me that I drive a car made with your hands and your hard work. When I heard you yell that you loved me as I left the pit stop I decided to win the race to honor your skill as an engineer. Everybody will be curious of how you managed to keep the car together right until the finish line.”

Hal got a blush on his cheeks.

“I just used duct tape,” he said quietly and stared at Sam with shock, and Sam burst out laughing.

“Then when someone asks you answer that you have some rare skills at using duct tape,” he laughed. His laugh made Hal smile and then chuckle.

“Idiot. Don’t make me worry like that again. I was scared shitless when I saw the engine smoke,” Hal said and then looked at the car. “But I do wonder why it broke down like that. It was in top shape when I checked it last night.”

Sam looked over at Reed and his eyes narrowed.

“I think it was sabotage by someone we all know,” he said and Hal looked over at Reed.

“Sabotage?”

“He must’ve sneaked into our paddock during the night.”

“Are you sure?”

“No, but I have a hunch that the incident wasn’t a coincidence.”

The track was filled with celebrators who wanted to congratulate Sam for the win and when evening came Hal found himself in the paddock staring at the car. Its front was just a bit bumpy from hitting the wall but the rear was completely crushed. Reed had accidentally hit Sam’s car in the rear and pushed it off the track into the wall. The collision to the wall hadn’t been big and so the car’s front wasn’t that damaged. Hal opened the hood and looked at the engine. It probably had to be completely replaced.

“So here you are,” he heard Sam’s voice from behind him and Hal turned around and looked at the man. “Thinking about what to do with it?”

Hal sighed and looked at the engine again.

“I haven’t checked the damage yet but I think the whole engine needs to be replaced.”

Sam walked up to him and looked at the engine too. He smiled and gave Hal a glass of champagne.

“Let’s celebrate. I won over Reed and I have the world championship until next year. It’s all thanks to you,” he said and raised his glass. Hal took the glass and raised it too.

As Sam had taken a sip he said: “I’ve talked to Reed. He wasn’t the one behind the sabotage. It was Mr. Thompson; the owner. He had given the order to one of Reed’s teammates to sabotage our car. I have taken care of it now so the police are going to talk to Mr. Thompson about this matter.”

Hal looked surprised at Sam but then got a pleading look.

“I would never go and work with him. I thought you knew that,” he said and looked Sam into the eyes. Then he gave the man a smile. “I can’t leave your side. What would you do without me in your team?”

Sam smiled a seductive smile and put the glass down on a workbench next to the car and took Hal’s glass and put it there too. Then he closed the distance between them and pulled Hal into a kiss. Hal reacted exactly the same way as on the track. He got so surprised he didn’t really know what was going on. Sam shifted the angle of their kiss again and again and it spurred Hal into slowly opening his lips and accept Sam’s warm tongue inside his mouth. A pleasant tingling spread throughout his body again and this time he put his arms around Sam’s neck and started to slowly kiss him back.

This was the first time he was kissing a guy, and it was probably the only guy he would ever kiss. He didn’t know what had happened to him but now suddenly he felt at peace in his mind and resigned his body to whatever came his way. Sam’s hands moved over his body, making him relax and enjoy the kiss, and when they began unbuttoning Hal’s overall a tense flustered feeling filled him. He didn’t stop Sam’s advances. It surprised him that he was welcoming them in whatever form Sam shaped them.

“Tell me what you yelled to me on the track right before the finish line,” Sam said quietly and stopped kissing. Their breaths mixed and tickled Hal’s cheeks.

“What?”

“Tell me. I want to hear it now when I can hear it without any disturbances around us.”

Hal hesitated a little. What he had yelled on the track was true but it felt so awkward to tell that to another guy. And to tell it like this when they were all alone in a quiet room made him feel bashful. But then he finally said quietly:

“I… I love you.”

He was instantly answered with a passionate kiss that sent shivers down his spine.

“Mmh…” His quiet moans seemed to make Sam excited and he let go of the kiss and turned Hal around and pushed him down on the hood of the car, just like he used to do at times when he harassed him at the workshop. “What are you…?”

“Do you remember when I said that it would be hot to fuck like this?” Sam asked and Hal got a terrible blush on his cheeks. “Do you agree with me this time?” he asked.

“I…”

Hal didn’t know. He was so nervous it felt like his chest would burst and his cheeks bleed from the blushing. But as he felt Sam’s hands move over his body in seductive ways he slowly began to adjust to the thought that maybe it wasn’t as bad as he thought from the beginning? Even though they both were guys it wasn’t like what they were going to do was abnormal or wrong.

So why do I hesitate?, he asked himself. He realized he was just nervous. He hadn’t been touched by a man like that and he wasn’t used to be the one receiving. He had only known the body of women before and this new thing was a bit scary.

He sighed and said quietly:

“Just be careful.”

“You really mean it?” he heard Sam’s surprised voice say from behind him.

Hal didn’t know if he had already changed his mind or not, but he finally managed to hesitantly say:

“Y-yeah.”

Sam kissed his neck with a loving touch and slowly pulled Hal’s red overall off from his shoulders. He continued to pull it further down and made it finally hit the floor. Hal’s heart felt like it would burst. He closed his eyes to try and hide from the embarrassment he felt but Sam’s touches became even more real. He sighed to calm himself down. It felt like his heart was racing faster than Sam did with his car on the tracks. Sam moved his hand in under Hal’s white t-shirt and caressed the younger man’s skin. Sam’s hands were warm and felt pleasant.

As the man’s hands moved in under the front of Hal’s jeans and massaged his groin Hal opened his eyes slightly and looked at the car’s hood which was fogging from his breaths. That’s when he realized how hot he felt. Suddenly it felt like a thrill to give himself away to Sam and that thought heated his body even more. The man’s hands moved inside his underwear and finally Hal relaxed enough to gasp and moan along with the sensation.

“Nngh. Ah…”

“Does it feel good?” Sam asked and Hal’s face got even hotter.

“Just shut up,” he sighed and felt his nerves burn from the sweet sensation that was consuming him.

Sam chuckled and finally opened Hal’s jeans and pulled them slightly down. Feeling this exposed made Hal want to protest but he stopped himself. He felt so embarrassed he didn’t know what to do with himself.

Don’t look at me!, he thought and closed his eyes again.

“Is this really okay?” Sam asked and Hal nodded. “You sure?”

Hal felt irritated. He didn’t want to talk. He just wanted to do it. He felt too embarrassed to talk with his voice being filled with so much heat.

“Yes, just do it already!” he said frustrated and Sam smiled and leaned closer to his ear and licked it. “Mh…”

“Your voice sounds really sexy like this,” Sam whispered and then moved his fingers between Hal’s buttocks – teasing the sensitive area. “Shall I push one finger in?”

Don’t be this cruel!, Hal screamed inside his head. He frowned and swallowed hard. His throat was dry.

“Just do it. I don’t know what to do, and I don’t want to say anything,” he managed to say.

“So you’re saying you’ll just go along with whatever I do?” Sam asked and Hal nodded. “You’re so cute.”

“Idiot… AH!”

Sam pushed a wet finger inside Hal’s body. It felt tight and unpleasant. The deeper Sam pushed the more uncomfortable it felt. It didn’t hurt though.

“Try to relax a little,” Sam said quietly and moved his finger slowly in and out.

“Nngh…”

Hal tried to relax to adjust himself to the new sensation he was experiencing. He didn’t know if he liked it or not but he was getting harder and harder the more Sam played with his body. To relax him further Sam took Hal’s cock in his other hand and moved it slowly up and down. That made Hal’s mind spin like crazy and he moved his hips a little.

After some time it started to feel less tight and Sam said:

“You’re relaxed. I’ll push in another one,” and then he slowly pushed the second finger in.

Hal’s body was in an uproar but he didn’t want to stop. He was a bit worried about how it would feel like when Sam pushed his hardened member inside him. He hoped he had relaxed enough until then.

Sam prepared him carefully step by step and in the end Hal had four fingers inside him moving slowly in and out of his body. His body was so hot he was shaking with anticipation and he pushed his body up with his arms against the hood. His body felt heavy.

“You want to do it?” he heard Sam ask, and he nodded.

“Yeah…” His voice sounded so hot he felt surprised that it came from his own mouth. No woman had ever made him feel this fevered out of lust.

Sam removed his fingers and then Hal felt Sam’s cock push against his entrance. His body tensed up and refused to let him in. He was too nervous. He felt silly like a virgin having sex for the first time but this was so new to him he couldn’t help it.

“Relax Hal,” he heard Sam whisper from behind. The man’s voice was hot too. It was dripping with lust.

As Sam pushed against Hal’s entrance Hal took a deep breath and then relaxed as much as he could. That instant Sam slipped inside with ease but then Hal tensed up again.

“Ow!” he gasped.

“Relax. Just try to relax. Don’t be nervous. I love you.” Sam’s words felt reassuring and vibrated softly in his ears. “I love you, Hal. You hear me?”

“Yes.”

That was all Hal could say. His heart was speeding away in his chest like it tried to escape. He tried to relax but when Sam realized it wasn’t that easy he moved his hands over Hal’s back to calm him down. Then he moved them over his sides and all the way down to his thighs and then back up again. It was clear how much Sam wanted him. Hal began to slowly relax his nervousness and then finally he relaxed enough for Sam to push further inside him.

“You feel good, Hal,” Sam whispered and continued moving his hands over Hal’s back while he moved slowly in and out. Hal relaxed even more the longer Sam moved inside him. He could feel the man’s cock tickle his insides as it pushed itself all the way in, right to the hilt. To feel Sam’s groin against his ass sent turmoil of pleasure through his mind. It was proof the man was all the way inside him.

“Ahh. Sam… Hnng!”

Sam started to move little more forcefully and Hal’s body tingled so intensely he forgot his embarrassment and moaned and gasped uncontrollably.

“Aah! Mmh! Sam! Aaah!”

“Does it feel good?” Sam asked and Hal threw his head back and began to move his hips against Sam’s.

“Yes! Aahh! You feel good. More!”

Sam began moving hard enough to make Hal’s body move back and forth over the hood of the red car he was leaning against. Hal’s shoulder long hair swayed together with the thrusts and Hal opened his eyes and stared at his reflection in the car’s hood. His eyes were filled with passion and he looked lewd like he was experiencing the best fuck in his entire life. And it was true. He had never felt this good with anyone ever, and doing it on top of the hood to the precious car built with his own hands felt like they were breaking some kind of taboo. He had never imagined they would end up doing something like this on top of it.

“Ah… You feel so incredible, Hal,” Sam moaned and took a hold of Hal’s hips to keep him in place as he moved even harder.

Hal’s body screamed out of joy. He tingled with such lust he let his voice out and didn’t give a damn if someone heard them. He cried out his lust with a loud voice and got tears in the corner of his eyes from all the amazing sensations his body was experiencing for the first time. Doing this with the man he just had realized he loved made the sex even better. There was nothing better than this. He couldn’t wait to feel how it was to cum with Sam inside him moving this hard and playing with his cock.

“You want to cum?” Sam asked with his voice out of breath.

“Y-yes! Aaah!”

Hal was already close to cumming but as Sam moved faster to draw out that sweet tension from inside him he felt how it started to build up even more. He lost his breath as the tension filled him to his breaking point. He was only able to take shallow breaths. Then his body released all the tension and he cried out the enormous bliss which drained him from all his energy. His mind blacked out for a short second and his body released his cum on top of the car. As Sam continued moving inside him for a few seconds more his body refused to stop his orgasm and his mind swayed with intense pleasure. Then he heard Sam’s gasps and moans and he thrust into him with sharp and deep thrusts – releasing his cum inside Hal. It was such a content feeling which Hal had never felt before. He felt truly happy and they both tried to catch their breaths for a minute. No one uttered a word for a while. There wasn’t a need to say anything. They both felt content.

I’m his, and he’s mine, Hal thought and relaxed his satisfied body.

“I love you,” he then heard the man behind him whisper and he got a smile on his lips. Sam hadn’t pulled out from Hal’s body yet and Hal could feel the man’s cock soften inside him.

“And I love you,” Hal answered with a tired voice.

“I can’t believe we have done it now.”

“Neither can I.” Hal laughed quietly and looked at Sam over his shoulder. “And I can’t believe we did it on the car for that matter.”

Sam gave him that childish smile and pulled Hal into his arms and kissed his cheek.

“It’s a dream come true! Do you have any idea how long I’ve been dreaming to do this with you?” he said and then looked at Hal with a mature smile. “And this time it’s my turn to fulfill one of your dreams. I know you’ve been saving up for a workshop of your own. I’ve decided to give you the workshop I own. You’ll have full ownership over it and I have already prepared the contract.”

“What?!” Hal couldn’t believe his ears.

“When I thought you wanted to go with that Thompson guy to get a workshop I left to call my lawyer and make him prepare a contract to overwrite the ownership so that I could keep you by my side. He sent me the contract through mail and I have already printed it out. Here…”

Sam released Hal with his arms and body to button his pants and then pulled out an envelope from his jacket pocket and held it out to Hal.

“It’s already signed by me. All it needs is your sign and the workshop is yours.”

Hal hurried to pull his jeans up and then he turned around to look dumbfounded at Sam. He took the envelope and opened it to look at the contract. His heart skipped a beat. Was this really happening? His heart was filled with such joy he couldn’t describe it. But to take it just like that made him feel uncomfortable.

“I can’t accept this,” Hal said and then held out the contract to Sam. “It’s too much.”

Sam frowned with a childish expression.

“Aw! Here I was proposing to you and you say no?” he said with a childish voice.

“Proposing?”

“The workshop is the ring, silly.”

Of all the childish things that came out from Sam’s mouth this took the price. Hal couldn’t stop himself from laughing and said:

“That’s so cheesy it hurts my ears.”

“Hey! I was trying to be romantic here!”

Hal looked at the pouting Sam and then gave him a kiss on his lips and then held the envelope with both hands and looked at Sam with a determined gaze.

“I’ll pay you back every cent for this workshop with my own hard work. Once I get the business rolling I’ll pay you back little by little. And don’t you dare to say no.” He had noticed Sam wanting to protest. “I will accept the workshop but only if you’ll let me pay you back. But I’m not with you because you’ll give me a workshop. I would have stayed with you no matter what,” he then reassured him.

Sam nodded with a smile. “I know you would have stayed with me the moment I heard you yell that to me on the track. But I still want you to have it.”

“Thank you, Sam. But now I think we need to clean the car.” Hal’s face got almost as red as the car behind him as he remembered they had dirtied it, and Sam chuckled and took one of the rags lying on the floor.

“Shall we help each other out?” he asked and held out a rag to Hal, and he took it with a smile.
